About This Workshop

In this workshop, we will meet just after sunset at one of Oregon’s most spectacular views with the goal of capturing the milky way as it aligns with one of the famous sea stacks on the Oregon Coast. The view is spectacular and the Milky Way provides a beautiful backdrop for an iconic coastal formation.

We will demonstrate various techniques and gear to help you capture amazing images. You will be shown night-time tips and tricks, how to use tripods and self timers, varying shutter speeds, how to focus in challenging situations, and capturing different times of night for artistic blends in post-processing.

While the shooting location is less than 1 mile from the parking lot, it includes up a difficult steep hike on loose sand.

  • On-site instruction: how to successfully capture amazing Milky Way images..
